Zap - Rest Zap - Rest, mobile view

Know that moment when you feel like eating out but don't know where? We've probably met at Rest too. At Zap Rest, one of Israel's best-known restaurant sites, I took part in designing key screens and user flows, from discovering restaurants and culinary content to booking a table.

The need

Rest is much more than a restaurant guide. It combines information about restaurants, menus, reviews, articles and culinary content, together with the option to book a table.

The challenge was to create an experience that connects all of these worlds: helping users discover new places, enjoy the content and move naturally from deciding to choosing a restaurant and booking a table.

My work

Working with Zap Rest's product team, I took part in specifying and designing several key screens and user flows on the site.

The work included screens for discovering restaurants, displaying articles and culinary content, as well as designing the table booking flow.

In each of these areas the challenge was a little different: making rich restaurant information accessible, creating a pleasant reading experience for editorial content and planning a simple, clear booking flow.

What they all shared was the need for an intuitive experience, with the right visual hierarchy, clear navigation and the brand's design language kept on desktop and mobile.

See it live

Enough talk, your turn. Visit Rest, discover new restaurants and maybe find the place for your next night out.
